These pages are on their way. You will find here a collection of texts and ideas in order to improve democratic practices in local areas or communities. These texts are more or less in a provisional condition.
The one set of (revised) documents came up in the context of a research-project (kult:ag) on participation on the local level, which took place in Vienna in the years 1998-2000 and which was developed further by arge:stadt (Barbara Gassner and Sebastian Reinfeldt (2004)), the other set of texts are reflections on this project and on similiar ones.
The main idea is to make available these collections for use, to make them richer and to trigger more texts about similiar experiences and projects that could be linked (and discussed critically) through this Wiki in an easy way-manner. Just add another link and write!
As a hint to the extraordinary political impact those practices might have I would like to present a link to an interview with Miguel Angel Nunez, an adviser to Venezuela’s President Hugo Chavez, on “Farmers are Demanding Agroecology: Making Democracy Participative”.

* 16.1.2006 - 18:59 PILLOWFIGHTKLUB
Last Saturday, in the middle of Hamburg’s biggest shopping street, some forty people gathered for a Pillowfight Flash Mob. Initiated by the secret Pillowfight Klub, which is said to have it’s headquarters somewhere in northern Germany. The mobbers received directions via the Pillowfightklub.de web site, 10 hours and 34 minutes from somebody calling himself Harry Kipper. Police came after 30 minutes, but the mobbers disappeared as fast and unpredictable as they came together. Juhej and juhej! ;)
